Peaceful Place
Students collaborated to design our Peaceful Place. This is a place where we can go when we need to take a breather, a break, or just to find some peace in our busy day.
School Assembly
On Friday we had an All School Assembly with Mrs. Berliner as the special guest! She, Mr. G., and Ms. Darling read the new book Jacob ~ The Round Church Mouse, by Richmond local, and former RES educator, Nancy Dutil.
Poetry Celebration
Students have been studying, creating, and learning about poetry. Today they shared their finished pieces with one another, celebrating our deliciously descriptive words!
The Magical Yet!
Students are learning about the power of YET! We read the book The Magical Yet, and talked about how our mistakes help us learn and grow. In fact, our "mistakes are a pathway to what we become"! Students created their own "yet" to cheer them on as they travel through life.
Practicing Feedback
Today students studied famous works of art, recording their appreciations and recommendations for the artist. We gathered together to talk about how feedback is helpful and respectful, and not an attack on one's abilities or character. This year, fourth graders will learn to give and receive constructive feedback to help us learn and grow!
